RCMP are reminding people to be careful with their belongings during the holiday season.
On Tuesday evening, a 62-year-old Penticton woman was unloading items into her car in the parking lot of the Zeller's on Main Street.
She was approached by a man who told her to check her front tire, saying it looked low.
While she was examining the tire, the man took her purse from the shopping cart and ran off.
He is described as 5'8", in his mid to late 20's and was seen wearing dark clothing.
The purse is described as black leather with three zippers.
