A Princeton man connected to a violent home invasion in May is facing 10 new charges.
Twenty-two-year-old Jonathan Haller was charged Tuesday with aggravated assault, robbery, break and enter and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm — relating to a break-and-enter and attack of a 91-year-old man in a home on Vermillion Avenue, on May 13.
Those offences add to his seven previous charges sworn in on May 18 as a result of the home invasion, and three others sworn in on July 11 for allegedly threatening a witness while in prison.
Haller also faces five new charges related to his arrest in Penticton on May 17, which include possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of a firearm contrary to an order and possession of a controlled substance, among others.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear next in Penticton court on Sept. 19.
Two days before his arrest, Haller claimed in a Facebook post he had nothing to do with the violent break and enter.
