A gas leak slowed down traffic along Fairview Road in Penticton Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 3 pm work crews hit a natural gas line in front of the Home Hardware on Fairview Road.
The crews were working on the Channel Parkway intersection expansion project when they broke the gas line.
People shopping at the Home Hardware did not have to evacuate the store, but those parked in front of the building were asked to move their cars.
The leak has been found and sealed. Crews are now doing cleanup on the area.
