Disneyland Dreams

A young Naramata boy was recently given a chance to meet the world's most famous mouse -- Mickey.

Seven-year-old Isaac Kribernegg was one of 10 B.C. children selected for a one-day trip to Disneyland as part of the 14th annual Dreams Take Flight organization.

Kribernegg has a rare blood disease called Langerhans, which is similar to cancer and requires him to undergo treatment with chemotherapy drugs.

He was having treatment at the Children's Hospital in Vancouver a few weeks ago, when an official from Dreams Take Flight approached him to go to Disneyland.

The trip took place on October 17 and had a total of 130 kids from 25 different organizations all flying to Disneyland first class on Air Canada.

The children were accompanied by doctors and nurses.

Kribernegg says the highlight of the trip was meeting Mickey Mouse and the rides.

Dreams Take Flight is a non-profit organization through Air Canada.
