Boil water notice lifted

A boil water notice has been lifted for Naramata after being in place for more than five weeks.

The notice was downgraded to a water quality advisory as turbidity levels in Okanagan Lake have decreased, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen said.

The notice was issued on May 8 due to debris entering the lake from fast-flowing creeks and high turbidity levels.

The RDOS said the advisory will remain in place until further notice and will continue to monitor the water source from the lake.

Anyone seeking further information is asked to contact the regional district's public works department at 250-490-4135.
