ORIGINAL: 7:46 a.m.

A black and white kitten is reportedly trapped on the top of a tall telephone pole in Kaleden.

Pictures were posted to the Lost and Found Pets in Kelowna Facebook page Sunday night.

"CAT STUCK UP POLE- NEEDS HELP TO GET DOWN! It's the Kaleden area.

Is this your cat stuck on the top of a telephone pole at 914 Pineview Drive in Kaleden? We tried calling FortisBC and they said to wait a few days and see if it comes down. We also tried calling emergency services and they said the same thing. We saw him his morning and he’s still there now. I’ll check again tomorrow morning and see," the post read.

"We really don’t want to see this cat roast for another full day in the sun so hopefully someone can come and rescue him," Jason Bristow added.

The post has has received multiple comments and shares.

"Cats can climb up, but their nails are not designed to climb down. Especially that height. And the chances of the cat falling and hurting itself badly is high," lost and found pets on Kelowna replied.

Castanet reached out to a resident in the area.

"As far as I know the cat is still up there. No luck with Fortis...eagles, hawks, dehydration, electrocution."
