Eviction notices have been handed out at the Delta Mobile Home Park on the south end of Penticton, just north of Barefoot Beach Resort.
The notices, dated April 30, were distributed over the weekend and ask residents to vacate the park by October 1, 2018.
One resident tells Castanet they plan on appealing the eviction notices, but are not optimistic about the outcome. The notices do not contain any reasons for the evictions.
The mobile home park is located on Penticton Indian Band land and managed by Stanmar Property Services. Castanet is awaiting comment from Stanmar and the PIB family that owns the property.
Premier John Horgan was in Penticton last month to announce new protections for tenants being evicted from mobile home parks that are being developed.
Castanet will update as more information becomes available.
