Hwy closed another night

UPDATE 5:00 p.m.

Highway 3A at Yellow Lake will remain closed overnight due to a landslide Friday morning.

DriveBC reports the next update will be available Tuesday at 9 a.m.


ORIGINAL 9:00 a.m.

A mudslide that closed a section of Highway 3A this weekend has still not been cleared.

The slide blocked the road 18.5 kilometres east of Keremeos, at Yellow Lake, early Friday morning.

Drive BC reports there is no estimated time of reopening.

Detours are available at the Keremeos junction, using Highway 3 to Highway 97, and Kaleden junction, using Highway 97 to Highway 3. 

An update is expected at 4 p.m. Monday
