Federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh will be visiting Penticton next week for the first time since being elected party leader last fall.
Singh and South Okanagan - West Kootenay MP Richard Cannings will meet with residents to "explore issues and ideas that matter to Canadians coast to coast."
The 'JagMeet and Greet' takes place on Mar. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nest and Nectar, located at 1475 Fairview Road.
"This is an exciting opportunity to hear from the new NDP leader, learn more about his personal and political journey and ask questions about the issues that matter most to you," the NDP's event information reads.
Singh previously visited Penticton on Sept. 11, before he was voted the new federal party leader on Oct. 1 to replace outgoing leader Tom Mulcair.
