Walk to End Abuse this June

The South Okanagan Women in Need Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year has a new name.

Early-bird registration is now underway for the fifth annual SOWINS Walk to End Abuse, previously known as Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.

The nonprofit is trying to raise $50,000 during this year’s event on June 3 in Penticton's Rotary Park.

Those that sign up by the end of March will be entered in a draw for four Cirque du Soleil Crystal tickets, a $100 Earls gift card and wine from local wineries.

SOWINS provides support for women escaping violence and abuse of all types.

You can register for the event online here.
