1500 breakfasts for kids

The Breakfast Learning Club in Penticton got a boost from the Vees to help keep kids in the community fed before school.

Penticton Hockey Hall of Fame director Frank Darin and executive director Bruce Judd gave a cheque for $3000.00 to Judy Jefferies, coordinator for the Breakfast Learning Club.

The money came from the Penticton Vees Chuck-a-Puck program, and will go toward 1500 individual breakfasts at Queen's Park and West Bench Elementary schools.

The breakfasts are offered free of charge to ensure kids have the proper nutrition required to effectively learn throughout the day.
