School's back in session.
Students in the Okanagan-Skaha School District are returning to class today.
Motorists in Penticton are reminded to go slow through school zones as students make their way back.
Different start times will mean that students and school buses will be on the street for a large part of the day.
Pen-Hi and Princess Margaret Secondary have an 8:30 am start for Grade 9 students while Grades 10-12 start at 9:30 am. Grade 10-12 students at Summerland Secondary start at 10 am.
School buses in Penticton will follow their regular morning times and start their afternoon run at noon. Buses in Summerland start at their normal time with a second run 90 minutes later.
Arrangements will be made on an individual basis for kindergarten students regarding entry to the school.
The RCMP will be monitoring school zones to ensure that drivers obey the 30 km/h limit between 8 am and 5 pm.
