Fire Closes Pasayten FSR

Until further notice, the Pasayten River Forest Service Road and all side roads south of Highway 3 have been designated as Restricted Areas for the purposes of section 11(1) of the Wildfire Act.

This order is made under section 11(1) of the Wildfire Act and applies to the following area: Pasayten River Forest Service Road and all side roads south of Highway 3A.

Pursuant to section 11(2) of the Wildfire Act, during the Period of Restriction, no one may remain in or enter this Restricted Area, unless they

(a)first receive written authorization of an official under section 11(2)(a), or
(b)enter the area only in the course of traveling to or from their residence, or to use a highway as defined in the Highway Act, or
(c)are personnel involved in fire suppression activities

Remaining in or entering the Restricted Area, except in the circumstances referred to above, is a contravention of section 11(2) of the Wildfire Act.
