The City of Penticton is inviting the public to a pair of workshops this week on the future of Memorial Arena.
The city is proposing to build a new twin-rink on the South Okanagan Events Centre campus and convert the 67-year-old Memorial Arena into a dry facility. McLaren Arena will eventually be decommissioned under the plan.
The workshops this week will explore the reconfiguring of Memorial and invite members from lacrosse, pickleball, tennis, volleyball, roller derby, skateboarding and other sport communities to participate.
