Glass seems to be sticking around.
The low volume of glass being put out for recycling by residents could lead to a reduction in how often it is picked up by the RDOS.
The RDOS board will be voting on Thursday whether they will accept a recommendation from the waste management committee to stop monthly pickup of glass recycling in Oliver, Keremeos and Okanagan Falls. If approved, starting January 1 glass would be picked up every six months during the spring and fall cleanup periods.
This decision will not affect the curbside recycling program in Penticton.
