Fire rips through trailer
Photo: Oliver Daily News
The Oliver Fire Department was called to a fully engulfed trailer fire Monday afternoon.
Crews arrived at about 2:50 p.m., near Road 4 and Snowbrush Street.
“I don’t know if there was an owner of the trailer or if there was anybody occupying that trailer,” fire department spokesman Rob Graham said. “Based on what was inside the trailer, there was no one living in that place.”
The trailer was next to a home, but firefighters kept it contained and quickly extinguished the blaze.
The cause of the fire is unknown and it is currently under investigation. No one was injured.
“I couldn’t say whether or not it’s suspicious at this point, we still have to look at it with fire officials and RCMP,” Graham said.
