Suspicious car fire in Oliver

Members of the Oliver fire department attended a suspicious car fire on Sunday morning at a property on Main Street, near Skagit Avenue.

Firefighters were called out at 4:19 a.m.

The fire was fully involved by the time the fire crew arrived, said Fire Chief Bob Graham. 

"It was a Pontiac Grand Am that had been parked (in a backyard) for some months, perhaps for a year," Graham said. "The battery was disconnected."

Graham said the fire was under investigation.
