Sculpture program returning

The City of Penticton is now accepting applications for 2018 public sculpture exhibition.

A jury made up of members of the city’s arts committee will be reviewing submissions and selecting six sculptures to be displayed in various locations downtown Penticton.

“We are thrilled to have the program continue to next year after it being so successful in its first year,” says Lori Mullin, Recreation and Culture Manager. “There has been an overwhelming positive response to the current sculptures on display by both the community and visitors to Penticton.”

Launched in 2016, the program is a year-long outdoor exhibit of original sculptures. The sculptures are owned by the artists and leased by the City of Penticton for one year for public enjoyment. The sculptures are displayed along the Okanagan Lake waterfront, downtown and in the Front Street roundabout.

The deadline for submissions is Dec. 15.
