More information has been released regarding the car that ended up in Okanagan Lake yesterday morning.
A 45-year-old female from Penticton was driving north bound on Highway 97 about a ½ mile from the city when she drove her car in the lake around 10 am Wednesday. It is believed that she was experiencing a headache and tried to pull off the highway and stop, but ended up driving into the lake.
A 46-year-old Kelowna man had been driving behind her and stopped to help her. He dove into the lake and rescued her. A 34 year-old Burnaby man also stopped and helped with the rescue. The woman was taken to Penticton Regional Hospital, treated and released.
