Car fire spreads to grass

A car fire spread into nearby grass in Osoyoos Friday afternoon

Fire crews are dealing with a grass fire on Old Richter Passage Rd. in Osoyoos.

Witnesses say the fire originated from a red car parked on the road around 2 p.m., spreading to the adjacent grass, burning about one acre.

Fire crews are currently on scene and appear to have gotten the upper hand on the fire.

The Osoyoos Fire Deptartment was not able to comment on the situation yet.
