Olalla MVA Fatality

At approximately 6:00 AM on July 29th, 2006, a 1997 Honda Civic containing two persons left the roadway a short distance north of Olalla. Olalla is on Highway 3A between Keremeos and Penticton.

The vehicle was traveling southbound before it left the highway. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

The driver, a 54 year old male from the Lower Mainland did not survive the accident.

The passenger, a 28 year male resident of Olalla suffered serious injuries and was transported to Penticton Hospital.

The incident is under investigation by the Keremeos RCMP Detachment and South Okanagan Traffic Services. Names of the two men are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
