An early morning stabbing has resulted in the death of a 29-year-old Penticton man.
The victim was taken to Penticton Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Jason Wayne Smith of Penticton.
Just after 2 a.m. this morning, RCMP responded to a call of a man down on the 2300 block of South Main Street. Emergency Health Services were already on scene in front of the Lancaster Apartments. RCMP arrested a 41-year-old male at the scene in connection with the stabbing and he remains in police custody.
Smith and the man now in custody knew each other. RCMP are investigating.
