Layton Visits Okanagan

NDP Leader Jack Layton be in B.C. tomorrow. In the morning, he will meet with supporters in Keremeos, before going to Heldey to visit the Upper Similkameen Indian Band’s Mascot Mine Interpretive Centre. Next Layton will travel to Princeton, where he will meet with the City Council before attending a barbecue and a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new constituency office with NDP supporters.

In the afternoon Layton will meet with municipal officials and First Nations chiefs from the Osoyoos area, and visit the NK’Mip Dessert Cultural and Heritage Centre. Later, Layton will cut the ribbon at another new NDP constituency office in Oliver, and attend a reception with NDP MP Alex Atamanenko at the Royal Canadian Legion.
