That's quite the rainy day fund.
A total of over $10,000 has been raised for the OSNS Child Development Centre by performer Michael Burgess.
A crowd of about 400 came to see the renowned Canadian opera singer last Thursday night at Penticton Secondary School.
Executive director Barb Givrissevich says last Thursday's heavy rain storm didn't diminish the crowds.
“If anything, the weather was a help, those who wanted to see him weren't going to let a little rain stop them,” says Givrissevich.
Burgess performed selections from well-known musicals such as Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera and Cats. He also shared the stage with four young local singers.
The money raised by the performance will help fund various programs at the OSNS.
