A two vehicle crash sent five people to hospital over the weekend.
On Sunday evening a Chevy Cavalier collided with a Subaru on Naramata Road near Robinson Avenue. The Chevy was driven by a 21-year-old male from Quebec and had two passengers, a 19-year-old male and an 18-year-old female. The Subaru was driven by a 72-year-old female and had a 76-year-old male passenger. All five have been sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevy had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Fire Department and Emergency Health Services with use of the Jaws of Life.
Investigation into the incident continues, but alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors.
