Political Meetings In Pent.

Two of British Columbia's major political parties are meeting in Penticton this week.

Members of both the NDP and the B.C. Liberal parties are gathering to attend caucus meetings. The NDP are meeting at the Penticton Lakeside Resort while the Liberals are meeting in the Ramada Inn.

Mayor Jack Kimberley says it is interesting to have both caucuses in the city at the same time and they are planning to meet with NDP Carol James on Thursday afternoon.

“She asked to meet with us and asked us to give some thought to what the city's interest is in regards to its' relationship with the Provincial Government,” says Kimberley.

Both groups will begin their meetings on Wednesday and are expected to stay in town for a few days.
