The 3rd Annual Family Fun Day at the Kid's Safety Village in Penticton taught some valuable lessons Wednesday afternoon.
Children and their parents gathered at the Safety Village on Edmonton Avenue to have their bike helmets tested for fit and safety as part of Safe Kids Canada Week.
Members of the RCMP were on hand to teach children how to obey the rules of the road when they are on their bikes.
Auxiliary Constable and Safety Village Board Member Judy Dubeau says safety is the main focus of the day.
“Kids love this place and are very conscious of the road rules here, which will help keep them safe when they are riding their bikes out in the community,” says Dubeau.
