Wellness fair in Penticton

An event showcasing more than 70 products and services for the mind, body and soul is coming to Penticton this weekend.

The first ever Penticton Wellness Fair is taking place Oct. 29 and 30 at the community centre.

"Our first fair began 15 years ago in Vernon.  We then added a fair in Kelowna and now are so excited to share our event with Penticton," said organizer Shara Mendoza. "The Okanagan has a huge wealth of wellness businesses; it is the ideal place for a healthy lifestyle."

The fair will feature vendors showcasing things such as essential oils, acupuncture, natural cleaning products, spiritual guidance, weight loss training, organic products and everything in between.

Visitors also receive a free welcome bag and chances to win prizes.

The fair is typically well received.

One of the most common comments organizers get is that guests are surprised that they spend so much time at the event.  

"There is just so much to see and do, from massages to psychics to dieticians to talk to, gorgeous boutiques to shop from and so much to learn and see," said Mendoza. 

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.
