The Oliver Fire Department was busy early this morning, fighting a brush fire caused by a burning pickup.
Firefighters responded about 2:45 a.m. to Black Sage Road in rural Oliver, where they found the fully engulfed vehicle, according to Rob Graham, media relations officer for the department.
The fire then spread to nearby brush, burning about two hectares.
The fire spread quickly, but firefighters were able to stay on top of it, said Graham.
There were no occupants in the vehicle and no structures threatened by the blaze.
RCMP will likely be investigating the truck fire.
