An abandoned building burst into flames Tuesday night in Oliver, sending black plumes of smoke into the air.
There are no reports of any injuries at this time, but a witnesses says she heard an explosion around the same time the fire started.
It happened on Island Way Road around 8 p.m. and the Oliver Fire Department had the fire out within the hour.
The building is said to have been very old and went up quickly; it was completely destroyed.
