Oliver and Osoyoos Rotary Clubs donate nearly $30K for hospital upgrade

Rotary clubs' $30K donation

The Rotary Clubs of Oliver and Osoyoos have donated nearly $30,000 to fund improvements at the South Okanagan General Hospital.

On Wednesday, the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation said both clubs contributed a combined $29,556.25 to the foundation's SOGH campaign.

"This generous gift is the result of the 'Service Above Self' spirit shown by both clubs, who joined forces to host tan elegant black-tie gala on January 24," SOSMF said.

SOSMF has pledged $2 million for a new digital X-ray machine, first-ever ultrasound capabilities, and SOGH staff housing.

"Thank you, Rotary, for being such vital partners in ensuring our hospital remains strong for everyone in the South Okanagan."
