Fun fire training with team

Kids and adults alike extinguished potential fires as Osoyoos Fire Rescue hosted its open house over the weekend.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the current team held the open house in an attempt educate locals about the work they do.

In a social media post on Saturday, the fire department thanked the public for attending the event.

"We would like to thank all the families and future firefighters for coming out to our open house," reads the post."Visitors enjoyed our obstacle circuit, the fire extinguisher training, hydraulic tools, both hall and truck tours."

Hot dogs were served up and attendees were able to try a variety of training exercises using fire department equipment.

"Thank you everyone for coming and visiting our home, we wish you all a safe long weekend," concludes the post.

The Osoyoos Fire Department is actively recruiting anyone interested in joining the team.
