Oliver firefighters responded to a single vehicle incident Monday afternoon, which resulted in the driver being transported to hospital.
Between 3:30 and 4 p.m., the Oliver Fire Department responded to the crash on Hwy 97 between Road 5 and 6. Police and ambulance crews were also called to the scene.
According to Oliver’s deputy fire chief, the driver of the vehicle sustained unknown injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Following the incident, traffic was temporarily controlled for around 20 minutes via a single alternating lane.
Shortly after 4 p.m., the highway reopened to all traffic.
