Osoyoos RCMP said their officers along with first responders attended to an apparent drowning on Osoyoos Lake at Nk’Mip Campground on Thursday.
The call came in at 7:30 p.m.
Area Commander Sgt Jason Bayda said "as this is now a BC Coroner’s investigation, I am unable to provide further information at this time."

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed they are investigating after a woman apparently drowned on Osoyoos Lake.
The death took place Thursday, Aug. 29, in the early evening.
Witnesses reported heavy police and emergency services presence at the beach near Nk'Mip Campground at that time.
The coroner confirmed they are involved looking into the death, but they are unable to provide further details as the investigation is ongoing.
