Anarchist Mountain firefighters are showing off two new fire response vehicles after pushing them into the fire hall last night.
In a Facebook post Monday evening, Anarchist Mountain Fire Department announced acquirement of the equipment.
“Tonight’s practice was a very special evening for members of the department and also area residents as we placed not one but two brand new apparatus into service,” reads the post.
“As with fire service tradition, both new apparatus were pushed into the Firehall by AMFD firefighters.”
The first vehicle has a Type 5 engine, meaning it will be used for rapid response and wildfire structure protection. The second vehicle is replacing an old apparatus. However, it has added capability of supplying water to support the department's engines.
“A very proud moment for Chief Grob and all those that had a hand in getting these new apparatus in service!”
