Catch Chicago tribute band WCC in Oliver while supporting local firefighters

Those in the South Okanagan can enjoy the music of Chicago while simultaneously supporting the Oliver Volunteer Fire and Rescue Society this week.

On Friday at 7:30 p.m., Chicago tribute band WCC will be performing their Feelin' Stronger Every Day Tour at the Venables Theatre.

According to the Oliver Fire Department, attendees can scan a QR code and use the promo code “Oliver” to support the team. Doing so will donate a portion of ticket sales to the Oliver Volunteer Fire and Rescue Society.

“There are extremely few Chicago tribute bands in the world and WCC is arguably the cream of the crop, musically, vocally, and visually,” reads the event listing. “WCC captures the authentic sound of Chicago's over two-decade span of hits from 1969 to 1991.”

WCC consists of eight band members covering “pretty well every hit of Chicago’s over two-decade span.” During their shows, listeners can enjoy a multimedia experience with videos and graphics accompanying the performances.

Friday’s show is presented by The Agency Productions touting music from “the rock band with horns.”
