The Society for Learning in Retirement Kelowna will be hosting an All Candidates Forum for mayoral and council candidates, on Saturday, November 8 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The Society for Learning is Retirement is a non-partisan, registered non-profit organization, with a approximately 700 members.
The forum is set to address seniors’ issues at the municipal level featuring questions in the areas of cultural/recreation services, civic engagement, transportation, affordable housing, age-friendly community initiatives; inter-generational programming.
Each candidate will be given 1 minute for an opening statement. Each candidate will subsequently be given 30 seconds to respond to a question.
The event will take place at the Holiday Inn Express – 2429 Hwy 97 North.
