A Lake Country council hopeful vows to be transparent and to end what he calls a waste of tax dollars if elected.

Randy Rose retired as the chief administrative officer for the District of Lake Country about five years ago after 14 years of service.
In the time since, he claims the current CAO has made major changes to the organization which has resulted in a huge waste of tax dollars.
"I did not decide to run until the last day of nominations," he said. "My goal is to ensure the public understands what has transpired and provide an alternative for voters to consider."
Rose says he has uncovered dealings which have resulted in a cost to the municipality of approximately $1 million.
"Wasting the money noted above is despicable in my opinion," he said.
"So here I am running for council which is something I never thought I would be doing, but I feel duty bound in part for all the sacrifices and hard work previous Councils and staff made for Lake Country.
"I intend to help the residents of Lake Country make an informed decision. If I am elected, I will do my best to correct the problems and be a good Councillor."
Rose said he will be releasing more information on Tuesday.
