Robinson seeks re-election

Another familiar face is running for re-election in Penticton.

Councillor Katie Robinson has announced that she will run to retain her councillor seat in the Nov 15 municipal election.

Robinson says her positive experience of over ten years as a councillor added a solid, "no nonsense voice" on Council over the last year, through strong leadership skills, a "tell it like it is" style and sound decision making.

"Our priorities and vision for Penticton are to create exciting and better paying jobs by using significant incentives for our existing businesses while attracting new business in the health care industry and tourism sectors," says Robinson.

"We will also focus on our Trade and Convention Centre, ending terrible tax drains such as the astonishing $10 million in ongoing losses over the years, that we as tax payers have had to cover."

Robinson says Penticton is on the brink of a new and exciting future.

"With the help of the electorate, I would be honoured to continue working on your behalf to ensure Penticton stays on track to reach it's potential, which in my opinion, has no limits. If we can dream it, we can achieve it with a positive attitude!"
