Time to pick your next trustees

Nominations for School District No. 67 trustees opened at 9 a.m. today, and at least one trustee is getting the jump on filing her papers.

School District No. 67 is governed by a Board of Education elected by the public. Trustee positions are now four year terms to match municipal terms. Trustee elections will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014, for seven positions on the Board:

  • Four trustees from Trustee Electoral Area 1 - City of Penticton

  • One (1) trustee from Trustee Electoral Area 3 - The rural area of Penticton, which includes the areas of Kaleden, Lakeshore Highlands, Naramata, Penticton Indian Band, Upper Carmi, West Bench, and adjacent areas.

Regular committees usually meet once a month and additional committee meetings are held as required. The board meets on the second Monday of every month during the school year, with some exceptions for statutory holiday.
