This morning I checked my castanet homepage which showed a photo of a car ashtray it had a line underneath saying to the effect that RCMP are urging motorists to butt out their cigarettes in their car and not throw them out the window. I couldn't agree more. Here's why!
In Spring of 2003, I was crossing Rutland Rd. North one afternoon when I felt a sharp burn/sting on one of my toes(I was wearing sandals of course). When I reached the side walk, I looked and and saw a discarded cigarette butt between my toes which I shook off immediately. I know this sounds bizarre and the likelihood of this happening exactly the way it did makes it a pretty rare occurrence. Nonetheless, it did happen. So there you have it! Don't throw them out the window!
It's pretty gross walking down the street and seeing cigarette butts on the ground anyway. To the man or woman who burned my toe last year, you owe me an apology, some ice, a band-aid, and 15 minutes of your undivided attention for some serious "Al -griping". Kidding!
