Carts: Let Police Do Their Jobs

I cannot believe what an issue people are making out of the shopping cart issue. It is totally ridiculous.

The police are never going to take away all the homeless' shopping carts. They would have to go through too much trouble to seize the carts, transport them etc. It is obvious that shopping carts are only an excuse to search those who are doing harm to themselves and others s ch as drug dealers/users and career thieves.

Shopping cart searches will actually be for the benefit of the homeless community as it will help eliminate those who would take advantage of them. And to all those fools who are offering to buy shopping
carts, how about you donating the money to the shelters?

The police know what they are doing, they work on the street and see the problems and know those who cause problems by dealing drugs to the vulnerable. Let them do their job.

Sometimes we all need tough love to move forward.
