Sometimes I wish I was born Andy Rooney, as I used to love his 5 minutes of wit to really get on the edge of topics that people just don’t want to deal with.
I fancy a lot of them don’t think further than their own interests when their promoting their agendas.
I wonder what people would think if we threw in a few new ones.
For example, let’s have an annual Heterosexual week every year just to ensure people know it’s okay to be that way lest we forget!
I’m Caucasian in a multicultural society, let’s have a week for each of us so we know we all belong and while we are at it, ensure our currencies contain a picture that represents each of our races to represent equality.
I have Sleep Apnea, as do many other Canadians so let’s have a week for each of life’s different gifts.
Why do all these groups have to think that they have to have a flag or a parade to celebrate who they are?
Are they not satisfied enough in their own beliefs that they need to seek the support or control of others?
I think the City of Kelowna is fair to enact a ban on flags that represent positions on one matter or another but I think some of it may have gone to far.
