Finally, I have had it. As a world war two survivor, I was too young to fight, however, I witnessed my uncles and cousins dying for their country and our safety. For all these brave men and women, I acknowledge their sacrifice and give thanks. They gave me freedom. They gave our wonderful Canada freedom. I thank them every day."Least we forget"
I am appalled and ashamed at our Prime Minister for his candy-assed response to missile defense. To our American neighbors, I apologize for Mr..Dithers, aka Paul Martin, our Prime Minister. Mr..Dithers has shown his true puerile response to our best friends and allies, i.e. the US of A in rejecting a partnership in North American defense. My close family members gave their lives in defense of this great nation, and now, our spineless Prime Minister rejects the stand that this former proud nation represented.
We had one of the greatest navies and fighting forces in the world. We contributed thousands of our youngest and bravest souls in defending peace. Was this all for naught! I thought that Prime Minister Chretien was bad for the country, however, Paul Martin, excuse me, Mr..Dithers far exceeds him in cowardice and inanity.
Our prime minister is truly the penultimate vacillator, who will do anything to gain a vote to keep him in power. How sad! This country has gone to hell in a hand basket, as a result of all the cowardly left wing loonies i.e.. Liberals, the Bloc and NDP types who have their peace loving values in lulu land. My family members died in order for them to hold these beliefs: to express these beliefs and values, whether they were right or wrong.
To you, who are too young to remember, keep this thought about our veterans, many who died for our country and freedom: and the few who remain and must live with their loss of comrades and horrific memories. Did their peers die in vain? Your Prime Minister's actions suggest otherwise!
Yours in futility,
C.J.
