Overlooking Real Problem

Why do we constantly have this inane ability to overlook the real problem?
The result of the problems we have created, is "the kids". As adults in this society, we gave birth to them and raised them and gave them direction.

We are the weakness. Curfews are at best a band aid solution for social bleeding. Ultimately causing more rejection and more distrust in our society by the youth.

We have created a consumer society, focused on buying, and buying more. This resulted in 2 income families, and no parents at home. What we have is the trade-off, the cost of the society we have created.

If I want a drivers license the rules and time-frames are extensive and well-defined. Parenting is a much more responsible assignment which as no training or no such requirements.

Are our priorities a bit messed up?

S.B.
