Its time that the Mayor and Council started to listen to the taxpayers and the business owners of the downtown core. Time after time people bring this issue to the fore front only to once again have Mayor Gray give another political answer and again nothing is done.
I believe in the last budget the Mayor and Council once again approved another 10 RCMP officers for the city. I can hardly wait to see another radar trap or seatbelt stop for my tax dollars rather than cleaning up the downtown core. I wonder if things would move quicker if this happened in their perspective neighborhoods.
I can’t wait to hear what City staff will do next month instead of taking the bull by the horns and dealing with the problem in a swift and firm handed direction. As far as the RCMP goes, keep up those checks and radar stings as you are catching the real criminals and earning every cent you make !!!!!
