RE Victim's father speaks out

As a long time resident of Kelowna, I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the family of Emily Chaplin.

I would like to also apologize to her father in particular on my own behalf for the impression he has that we as a community don't care.

I would like him to know that Emily's untimely death has affected me and members of my family deeply and I know in my heart that anyone who knows of this feels the same way.

I would not presume to intrude on your grief which is why I chose this method to offer condolences.

I cannot pretend to know how Mr. Chaplin and his family feel and I admire him for his strength. Tragic is an understatement.

She and her family will be in my thoughts for a long time and I will never forget. God bless you all.
