It seems a weekly occurrence that our bridge creates the longest parking lot in the province.
Why does this continue to happen? The lanes are straight, signage is clear as to upcoming yielding traffic, as well as lane merging.
Do people forget how to change lanes once they are on the bridge? It is baffling! Unless a large vehicle, or multiple vehicles, are blocking all lanes, there should not be a shut down of traffic!
What are people to do if they have an emergency of their own and are unable to get to the hospital?
Do we drive to the Summerland emergency room? Perhaps its time for West Kelowna to get a hospital
rather than a new intersection and theatre.
The other concern: why aren't the police on-site to keep traffic moving. Slow moving traffic is better than no moving traffic.
One way or another, the City of Kelowna needs to open their eyes to this issue, and provide some better solutions to these traffic jams.
