I have the same question as J.H. Why does the city need to raise the taxes when the property values and the assessments are already up? This in itself generates more tax dollars.
Plus with more residents contributing to the tax pool why and where is all this extra money needed? I don't see an increase in public services from the previous year. Are there more roads to clean? Garbage pick up is paid on a user pay basis etc.
I would just like a justification for all these extra dollars?
