Not above the law
In response to Bryan Cramer, we the public understand that not all police are bad and do have a tough job but that is no excuse.
The video does not lie and it's a known fact that the call over the radio stated he had suffered injuries from a motorcycle accident before he was apprehended.
You also say they don't have time to ask if he has permission to carry a gun. I'm sorry but the police have computers and should know full well if he has permission.
I understand the point your trying to make but if a police officer cannot perform his duties in accordance with the law as you or I would, he deserves what he gets. Police are not above the law.
